Blog news

Good Morning,

You'll certainly notice that the blog has taken on a new look: pictures! I took three rolls of film at the reunion. First, I'll issue a disclaimer that I did NOT get everyone. I wish I could have, but we committee members had some responsibilities at the welcoming table too. So, if I missed you with my Canon, please go easy on me.

I shall, however, over the next few days post all the photos taken.

Next item: We're going to give the open posting another try. I'll be very blunt about this. I did not appreciate the anonymous, somewhat cryptic and disturbing postings the blog received in April and May.
Maybe this person was trying to be funny, but not everyone saw or appreciated the humor. That's why the password was changed.

Because of the overall positive reception to the blog, we'll happily give its universal means of posting another try. Anonymous postings will be deleted immediately. If you would like to post directly to the blog, send me a note to that effect, and I'll send you the password. If we begin to have problems again, we'll deal with it.

So, I invite you to take advantage of this opportunity. If you have digital photos you'd like to share or comments at any time, you can do so as soon as you receive the password. For posting photos, you'll need to install free programs called "Hello" and "Picasa." You can find "Hello" on the Blogger dashboard, and you can download Picasa.

I haven't quite figured out all the bells and whistles but you can see I, at least, got some photos to appear. I have some other ideas for our ongoing blog also. I intend to discuss these with Janis Puzuhanich and will get back to you on those.

So, let your personal blogging on shs1965 begin. Send me an email when you wish to get started. I'll also post the list of deceased classmates sometime today. So, from now on, you may see several postings on the same day. All the more reason to bookmark and check often.

Also, now that you've been to town for a few days, I invite you to bookmark my personal blog: www.slightdetour.blogspot.com. You'll be reading often about things affecting Sandpoint, and you'll probably enjoy my brother Jim's cartoons.

He's an architect in Grants Pass, Ore. Was born at halftime of that famous Sandpoint-Lewiston football game in 1963 that sealed the last-ever undefeated football season for Sandpoint's Bulldogs. Jim and I have had a lot of fun with "Slight Detour" for the past seven months and plan to keep on rolling with it. So, join us!

Marianne
