Marianne, I wanted to let you know how interesting all of the blogs are especially yours. You have a upbeat, positive outlook on life... Thanks.
I have found the lives of others, where they live and what they are doing a real treat. I wish more would talk about their lives and what they are doing.
I haven't been around forever, and Sandpoint is a distant memory. I think of the success everyone has and their families. It is great that all are doing so well.
I have lived in Driggs, Idaho, skied a lot: lived in Cave Creek Arizona owned an Awning Co and did Construction. I finally settled in West Haven (Ogden) Utah and have been in Construction for over 40 years.
I have a blended family; Tami my wife and 7 Children; 4 of them mine and 3 that I have adopted. Life has been good to me and I am not as skinny as when I was growing up.. I am a (small) 6'4" 260 lb semi retired contractor. I have a farm, sprinklers to move with cattle, horses, cats and the occasional stray dog.
I do Commercial and Industrial Construction and like the Jobs that are between $500,000.00 to 1MM in size. I develop subdivisions, commercial property, retail and freeway pads. I am a small player in a large pond.
Utah doesn't have the water or trees like Sandpoint, but it is a nice place to live.
My children seem to want to travel and play.. the only one married is 21 the others from 33 to 15 are un-married and just enjoying life. No Grand kids. just dreams of them. One son still at home and 3 years until he flys the nest.
I have gone to Sandpont several times and see the town but never run in to any of the class mates.. Maybe none of us look the same so we wont recognize any of us .. I still have all my hair, very little grey, and all my teeth.
I hope to hear from others and find out where life has taken them. After 40 years maybe we can enjoy the memories of growing up in Sandpoint. Thanks for helping me become who I am.
