Hey, you 60-year-olds
It's been more than a year since I've posted anything on this site. I resurrected it the other day into the "New Blogger." So, I thought I'd post an item or two and see if anyone was reading.
- For all who have turn 60 by this date, June 18, 2007, I'd love to hear how the new decade has been for you. I'm going to be coming through the 60s door pretty soon, and I might devote my next column in The River Journal newspaper to this big milepost in life. Your thoughts would be appreciated---good and bad. Drop me a line at malove@imbris.net if you have any observations to share from your perch in this new decade.
- Also, I would like to let you all know that my third book Lessons with Love: Tales of teaching and learning in a small-town high school (www.keokeebooks.com, 288 pages, paperback, $16) was released in early May. It's a fun read, both humorous and poignant, and I'd sure appreciate anything you can do to entice bookstores in your area to order a few copies. It's available through Baker and Taylor Distributors.
- There's also that www.sandpointhigh.com website, which has been up and running for more than a year now. Last time I checked, 777 SHS grads had signed up for the free site, which is very well done and user friendly. So, check it out and sign up. The more the merrier.
- Since I'm resurrecting this blog after a year's worth of hibernation, send me any news or questions you may have of interest to our classmates. I'll post it and try to generate interest enough for folks to start stopping by again.
